Williams Avenue Childcare

 

Site Information:

Before School Care Opens at 6:30 am, and includes a light breakfast and transportation to all East Providence public schools.

 

After school care begins at dismissal and includes transportation from school.  After School Childcare participants must be picked up by 6:00 pm.

 

A healthy snack is provided on Monday afternoons, and Kids Café dinner service is offered Tuesday – Friday from 4:30 – 5:30.  All meals are provided free of charge.

 

During school vacations, Childcare is available from 6:30 am – 6:00 pm and includes a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack or dinner.

 

Program Information:

Kiddie Care

For our childcare participants ages 5 – 7, home base is located on the second floor of the Club in our Kiddie Care room.  Homework help is provided daily, and then we offer a blend of free time at our Kiddie Care ‘Centers’ (legos, manipulative table, doll house, etc) as well as structured programs and activities.  Kiddie Care participants also have time scheduled in our gym and technology center.

 

Child Care

For our members ages 8 -13, our childcare program is based out of our games room, and offers more in-depth small group programs appropriate to their age.

 

Homework Help is offered daily for all members until 4:30 in our Technology & Learning

Center.

 

After homework, members have a chance to enjoy free play in the games room, including daily art projects, pool and fooze ball tables, and “Manipulative Madness,” where members can try their hands at building with legos, magnetic blocks, and other hands on fun.

 

In addition to the games room, there are one – two small group program offered daily, including our Art Club, Chorus, and Torch Leadership Club.

….  And let’s not forget free time in the gym.

 

Fees

After school care is on a sliding scale which ranges from $55 - $85 per week.  Before school care is available for a rate of $45 per week, or as on add-on to our afterschool program for an additional $10.  We do accept RI Childcare Assistance Program (CCAP) participants.

Availability and Our Wait List

Space in our Williams Avenue program is extremely limited and we often have a wait list for several area schools.  Please email or call us at (401) 434-6776 to see if space is available at your child’s school.
